My career includes an eighteen year period with Vodafone, where I developed an in-depth knowledge of mobile telephone networks.
Since 2005 I have acted as an independent and impartial Expert Witness, giving evidence in Courts, acting for both the Prosecution and defence.
I have acted as an independent and impartial Expert Witness, on behalf of enforcement agencies and the legal community, in both criminal and civil cases, in connection with the forensic investigation and analysis of mobile telephony, using the technique known as cell-site analysis.
To date I have prepared reports on cell-site analysis to show the usage and movement of mobile telephones in over 200 cases and I have given evidence at the Central Criminal Court and in Crown Courts. Many reports involve proving or disproving the attribution of a phone to a single user.
My career working in the disciplines of telephony and professional radio design spans more than thirty years. I held a number of technical and operational roles at Vodafone, where my responsibilities were the successful operation and maintenance of the whole UK network and in a later role network performance measurement as well appraisal of the metering and billing systems.
