The analysis of call data records using specialist ‘i2’crime analysis software

• Call Pattern Analysis – reviews the calls made by one or more telephones to identify numbers called in common or unusual patterns of calls at a certain time. Comparisons between different time periods can be very revealing of changes in calling habits.

• Attribution Analysis – specifically reviews numbers called by telephones to establish who the usual user of a phone is during a certain period. Further evidence using ‘TopUp’ vouchers, normal home-cell usage, address book examinations and similar items can be used to strengthen the analysis.
