Andrew Dampier Expert Witness
Following thirty-five years’ employment with Kent Police, between 2019 and 2025 I worked as a Forensic Cell Site Engineer / Expert Witness, firstly for Keith Borer Consultants, then as a consultant working on behalf of the Metropolitan Police Service. I continue this role with Forensic Partners Ltd.
Between 2004 and 2019, I was employed within the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate and was responsible for examining and analysing call data records concerning all aspects of crime investigation and the tracing of missing, vulnerable or wanted persons.
I am a trained Radio Frequency Propagation Surveyor.
Since 2004, I have provided evidence in over 500 criminal cases, predominantly concerning the movement, whereabouts, use and attribution of mobile phones, providing an impartial service to the Criminal Justice System (for both the Prosecution and Defence) including the most serious and high-profile cases.
I provide training inputs to solicitors and barristers, and I regularly give evidence at the Central Criminal Court and other Crown Courts throughout the UK. I have received several judges’ commendations including those specifically for my presentation of cell site evidence.
